This was done just a couple of days ago, in 2017.
Look at the 2 onions. One is chopped into half, while the other is intact. I took about 20 minutes to sketch this. I used F,2B,6B,4B,3B and 8B pencils here. It was challenging drawing the wood grains on the board. The texture had to be as smooth as pine, and the shadow of the onions had to blend in well. I used the darker pencils for the edges and the shadow. Overall, I think it's a pretty fine piece.
