Just drew this not long ago. I didn't post for the whole of 2019 because I was busy and I didn't have the time to draw much, let alone update. Today I started drawing again in a long time, mainly because I was inspired by a friend.
I drew this gravy boat using 2B, 3B and 8B pencils. Took me about 30 minutes, I am quite glad that I haven't exactly lost my drawing skills either. The challenge was probably getting the indentations and the tone right, to show the depth of field using the shadows and tone. The photo below is the original one, whereas I have increased the contrast for the one on the top. I'm actually surprised at how much better it looks with the greater contrast. It seems to show my painstaking efforts in shading and hatching. The flower pattern on the gravy boat is also more obvious with the greater contrast.
Here's to hopefully more drawings this year, and hoping everyone stays safe and healthy.
